Following our kickoff, some grades participated in our PBIS Bootcamp, where we reviewed and practiced our ROAR expectations: Respectful, Organized, Always Safe, and Responsible. Each area of the school—from the hallways to the cafeteria—became a learning zone as students rotated through stations to see what ROAR looks like at CIS.
Please bring your child and their school supplies to our Open House tonight from 5:30-6:30. We will have a Book Giveaway outside the office and the building is open for tours. This is an opportunity to meet our staff.
School starts tomorrow 8:00-11:25.
We will have a full day on Friday from 8:00-2:55.
Be sure to download the Carterville App. At this time, only the Live Feed and Menu options are available. The district is clarifying some data transfers and plan to have Rooms and Messages set up for communication by the end of week. More information to come as we launch this new tool to replace Dojo. Online registration for current students opens on Monday! New students to the district should come into the school office between 8:00 - 3:00 to register.
New student orientation for incoming 4th graders and new students to the district will take place in the CIS gym at 6:00 on Tuesday, July 29. Mrs. Tyner and I will walk students through a day in the life of a CIS student and the building will be open for tours.
Please plan to bring your school supplies and meet your teacher on Wednesday, August 6 from 5:30 - 6:30.

Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we’re excited to begin another year of learning, growing, and thriving together. More details and updates will be shared soon, but here are the essentials to get us started.
Important Dates:
🏫 School Office Opens: Thursday, July 24 | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
🎒 New Student Orientation: Tuesday, July 29 at 6:00 PM | CIS Gym (for incoming 4th graders and new students to the district)
💻 For Returning Families: Online registration opens Monday, July 28. Once registered, you’ll be able to view your child’s teacher
