Today is PTO Appreciation Day, we are taking a moment to celebrate the real-life superheroes who make our school community thrive. From organizing tailgates, fundraisers; (and managing those giant inflatable slides!) to supporting our amazing teachers, their hard work and dedication create a stronger, happier environment for all our children.

Celebrate Our CIS Students at the Fall Festival!
Our students have worked so hard this first quarter, and they are on track to hit our PBIS Goal! We’re celebrating with a Fall Festival on Thursday, October 8th, and we need your help to pull it off!
We’re looking for PTO volunteers across three grade-level sessions throughout the day. Whether you can give an hour or stay for multiple sessions, every volunteer makes a difference!

All CUSD staff including teachers, principals, interventionists, coaches, aides, supervisors, and custodians participated in a three hour training with Michelle Denault last Friday on our inservice day. We are committed to ensuring a safe learning environment for your child. The District is offering a community event tomorrow, Wednesday 9/23 from 6:30-7:30 at CHS. Details can be found in the flyer attached.

Rex came out of retirement to worked in our kitchen for the past 3.5 years. He will begin another round of retirement tomorrow. He has been a spotlight of positivity and joy in our building and will truly be missed.

Team CIS wrapped up Safety Week with our bus evacuation drill today. We covered Lockdown/Intruder, Tornado/Severe Weather, Fire, Evacuation, and Bus safety this week. We are committed to reflecting and improving processes for the safety of our students and staff. Enjoy the weekend!
