CJHS held their 3rd Quarter PBIS Assembly, and students who met the goal had their name put into a drawing for a chance at one of 12 gifts cards.

We would like to congratulate several of our CJHS students for their outstanding performance this past weekend at the 2026 IGSMA Contest held at the junior high. These students practice all year, and they are truly talented!
Each student received a rating of Superior or Excellent for their performances.
Solos: Gabby Adams, Lily Bundren, Zaylee Diefenbach, Jesse Harp, Declan Kirschbaum, Asa Roeters, Zoie Smith, Evie Sparks, Emmett Whiteford, Greenlee Zelasko, and Archer Zimmerman.

One of our wonderful members of the breakfast and lunch crew won Teacher/Staff Member of the Month for February. The student recommendations came in, and Brenda Wood was the selection! We appreciate the care she shows our students each day at CJHS! 🦁

CJHS Boys & Girls Track tryouts are quickly approaching. We have attached all tryout information for any 6th-8th graders interested in trying out for the CJHS Track team.

Congratulations to CJHS students Greenlee Zelasko and Drake Miller for their outstanding performance at the Quad County Spelling Bee tonight! Greenlee placed 4th, and Drake placed 2nd! Both will advance to the regional finals on March 12! We are so proud of them, and it is another great day to be a Lion 🦁

The Lions are State Bound! The CJHS boys defeated Herrin 44-39 and will be heading to the SIJHSAA Class L State Tournament. Congratulations Coach Towers, Reinwald and team!
