Students Requesting Advanced/AP Courses: We are establishing a new requirement for students to enroll in Advanced and/or AP courses. Please find the Student and Parent Agreements attached below. This form must be signed and returned to the guidance office by the course request deadline.

Advanced/AP Course Agreement (Grades 10-12)

PE Waiver Information: Students in grades 10-12 may request a PE Waiver if they are involved in certain extracurricular activities. The credit waiver will only be granted for the semester of involvement in the activity. Students involved in winter activities (basketball, bowling, cheer, dance, and wrestling) may choose the fall or spring semester, but will only be granted one semester of waived PE credit for that activity. PLEASE NOTE: Sophomore students are NOT eligible for athletic waivers. Sophomores may only request a waiver for Marching Band.

Science Waiver Information: Students in grade 11 may request a waiver for their third science credit if they are enrolled in certain Career/Technichal Education courses.  Please keep in mind that three science credits are required for entrance into many universities. However, if you are confident you will enter a community college, military, trade or the workforce directly following high school, you can request to waive the required third science credit in order to take a related career/technical course such as Building Trades, JALC Automotive, CNA, JALC Welding, etc. Credit waiver requests will be reviewed by administration and granted on a case by case basis.

Additional Programs for Senior Students: Senior students may request entry into one of our off-campus additional programs. Students must provide their own transportation for these programs. Submitting a request does not guarantee entry into the selected program. Students will be contacted before the beginning of school next fall if they are admitted into the selected program.
