The Illinois State Board of Education now requires all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online OR to complete the FAFSA Non-Participation Form online. 

A student will not receive his/her diploma until this requirement is met.

 The FAFSA becomes available to complete online on October 1 of each year. However, Illinois has limited funds, so be sure to apply as soon as you can on or after October 1st.

The student and a parent will both have to create an FSA ID in order to complete and electronically sign the FAFSA.  Click here to create an FSA ID.

Visit www.studentaid.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

If you choose to complete the FAFSA Non-Participation Form in lieu of completing the FAFSA, it must be submitted online by April 1. Click here for the instructions to complete this form online.
